What to Look for When Buying a Home

Should you buy or rent a home? Buying a house is one of the biggest financial decision that you will make in life.
It is a lengthy and complicated business, which while exciting, is often fraught with stress and worry. But luckily, there are lots of good advice around like the people of St Louis Open Houses helping you to make your home buying decision as easy and problem-free as possible.

Owning your own home can be an attractive option with a long period of economic stagnation having helped to keep the world real estate prices down. Indeed, a pick up in the economy and people being encouraged to put more aside into pension plans has made owning bricks and mortar a more interesting proposition for people.

With that said, there are a lot of things that comes in mind when buying a home.

Here are some things to look out for:

* Price

* Location

* Size of the living space

* Number of bedrooms and bathrooms

* Size of Lot

* Condition of house (windows, roof, siding, furnace, etc.)

* Zoning

* Quality of Schools

* Distance to work

* Type of utilities (Private or Public)

* Neighbourhood

* Taxes

* Issues with home owners insurance

* How long has the current owner owned it

* When was the house built

The list goes on and on. Other things I would also consider are home office and garage.
With many people working from home, having a home office may be one of your priorities. An office doesn’t have to be as large as a bedroom, however it is according to what your needs are for a library in the study area is concerned.
 I love my garage. At a time one question was asked by Auto-mobile insurance people was if you had a garage. Not sure if they still do but it sure is nice to have one to pull into when it is raining, or even after dark where I feel safe to get out of the car when I’ve let the door down. Whether two car or three car garage if this is on your list of features, don’t settle for less.
