FEBRUARY FOOD FUN

February 2 - Groundhog Day: Celebrate National Hot Breakfast Month by enjoying a delicious family breakfast while tuning in to watch Famous Groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, emerge from the burrow. The event happens at daybreak, around 7:25 AM. Will there be another 6 weeks of winter?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  Eating a hot breakfast on a cold winter's morning will warm up your kids and give them the energy they need to perform at their best.

February 3 - Super Bowl Sunday: It's game day and the kick-off of National Snack Month. Snacks provide the body a boost of energy between meals.  Avoid fatty, over-processed snacks with empty calories. Instead try wholesome, healthy snacks.  Eat a variety of snacks from all five of the food groups - fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins and dairy.  Try Guacamole, Salsa, Vegetables & Dip, Trail Mix, or Fresh Fruit Kabobs at your Super Bowl Party!
